The Iris van Herpen show debuted at the High Museum of Art on Friday, Nov. 6th. The designs are extraordinary and refreshing, including a diverse collection of 3D printed dresses with ice sculpting illusions to hand sewn feathered pieces. What is interesting about Van Herpen is her ability to create couture wearable designs that fit well into any high end art gallery. She collides the worlds of performance, fashion, technology and sculpture– a combination not often seen in the fashion industry. What’s even more special about this collection, is that its right here in the city of Atlanta. Make sure to get your tickets and check it out before May 15. Until then here’s a sneak peak of the show with a few of my favorites.
