Christian Siriano SCAD FASH
The Savannah College of Art and Design presents, “People Are People” honoring American fashion designer Christian Siriano at the SCAD Fashion Museum in the heart of Atlanta. Showcasing more than 60 extraordinary designs from the designer’s decade-plus career that embrace glamour, self-expression, and defying gender and age norms. Since launching his fashion house in New York in 2008, Siriano has become beloved for statement-making looks, combining beautiful craftsmanship with a unique point of view that has endeared him to the fashion industry, celebrities, and the public alike. From glamorous gowns to gender-defying showstoppers, Siriano’s designs have been the focus of unforgettable Fashion Weeks and red-carpet moments and are worn by the world’s biggest stars, top models, pop icons, legendary divas, LGBTQ+ heroes, first ladies, and more.

“To have my work featured in a solo exhibition at SCAD not once but twice is such an unbelievable honor. I’m so grateful to SCAD for recognizing the dedication that my team and I have put toward my brand for the last 14 years. I hope that with this exhibition, I can encourage others to persevere and continue to create. Without art, this world would be incredibly ordinary, and I hope that this exhibition inspires young artists to push the boundaries and make the world extraordinary with their work.” – Christian Siriano

The Zeal Life attended opening night of the Christian Siriano SCAD FASH show and got close and personal to the designer’s remarkable legacy. Each creation denotes a story. The exhibition welcomes you with the notable Met Gala 2019 design worn by the glorious and transcendent Janelle Monae—arguably one of the most astounding Met Gala looks to date. Only a few feet away you’ll spot the Red Pleated Tulle Dress from Siriano’s Fall 2018 collection, worn by Lady Gaga. Lizzo’s custom crystal embezzled gown worn at the 2020 GRAMMY’S, and Normani’s recent Met Gala creation for the Gilded Glamour theme are all on display. With over a decade’s catalog of innovation, the surprises are endless.
Take a glimpse at some of our favorite looks at the exhibit, but don’t just take our word for it. Experience the show for yourself now open for view through Oct 9 2022.
